Family and friends gathered on the evening of December 17th, 2016 to celebrate the joining and harmony of Jenny Melvin and Ty Biagas. The reception was held here at The Historic Post Office, preceded by the ceremony held at the First United Methodist Church, which happens to be right next door to our reception venue.
Due to the desired date of the wedding the theme was quite easily decided… winter holiday, of course! Blush, fuchsia, and merlot-hued roses and carnations were bundled together by burlap ribbon to create an aesthetic arrangement for the bride to hold. Resembling the bridal party bouquets, the three-tiered cream cake was layered softly with baby’s breath and surrounded by seasonal adornments.
Guests lined the mezzanine garland-wrapped railing to watch the couple’s first dance, and then were encouraged to join in on the dance floor for a little boogie. The master of ceremonies (MC) helped keep the party on track, where the crowd let loose and celebrated the new husband and wife. Jenny even tossed her bouquet from our balcony space on the mezannine!
For wedding mementos; the Christmas tree was loaded with monogrammed wood chip ornaments for each person to take home with them. The chips were doubled sided with a giant snowflake, their initials and wedding date. In collaboration to that a snowflake collection was projected on the high white walls looking over the dance floor.
What a beautiful holiday season event! Jenny was simply sensational and Ty seemed to be in pure bliss with a smile from ear to ear. During their ceremony, Jenny’s son, Brayden, wrote and read a heartfelt note to his new dad, Ty. It was seriously the sweetest thing we’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing! Folks, we couldn’t have cherry-picked a lovelier couple to have get married for our very first wedding at The Historic Post Office! It was an absolute pleasure Mr. and Mrs. Biagas, thank you!
